I did not know that there was a section of this cemetery dedicated to this period of U.S. history. If you are an avid watcher of horror movies you would be very surprised to find out the Oak Hill Cemetery is a top filming location...More

I love visiting Oak Hill, especially the Confederate section. Newnan was a Confederate hospital town and also the site of the Battle of Brown's Mill, a decisive Confederate victory. There are brave Confederates from every Southern state buried there.

Take a walk around and enjoy this cemetery on a pretty day. Pretty tombstones and lots of history here.

Many old gravestones. Also, a lot of people playing Pokemon Go. It was difficult to find the entrance, many of them are blocked off.

I've visited cemeteries before and don't see the attraction.I happened to be near this one and walked around for a bit.Not morbid or creepy just mostly it seems like a waste of land.

Found some of the most interesting headstones I've ever seen. Inscriptions on many of them were well though out by family members. Also found my cousin's wife buried there. The confederate section was a nice tribute.
