We stopped by on a warm April afternoon hoping to be dazzled by the flowers. Unfortunately, it was too early in the year and there were very few actual flowers in bloom, If you go, wait a month or two. The nature walk itself was educational; most of the trees were marked with their species. Also, there is one large... More

This is an EXCELLENT spot for getting out and stretching your legs. The lawn and property is well-maintained and has plenty of walking trails. You can also stroll through the two greenhouses near the front of the property (near the parking area). If you are a fan of architecture like me I highly recommend paying the very small admission fee... More

You cannot miss this while in Milledgeville. The beautiful Rose Hill mansion tour and the wonderful Arboretum property are worth the trip

The home was pretty cool. It looked like they were in the middle of restoring it, otherwise I would have given a 5. The grounds were nice to walk around and enjoy nature.

Visited the mansion during the Christmas Open House. Quite lovely!! The refreshments served were delicious. Each room in the house was decorated for the holidays in "old style manner". The hosts were available to share historical information about family life in the home. Very enjoyable evening.

Rose Hill is a beautifully restored historic home. We have gone to their holiday open house when it's decorated with fresh greenery for Christmas by the local garden clubs. We love to walk the trails and look at the gardens. Take a picnic lunch! We also have had our engagement photos and family photos taken here.

The house is very old and the gardens are well maintained. If you're visiting because you love history---start with the house. If you're visiting because you love nature, start with the Gardens!!! There's so much to see and learn!!

We visited a bit out of season so no flowers but a lovely arboretum, great walking trails and you can drive most of the area as well. The house is restricted access but you can get in via the trolley tour from the visitor centre.

I went here twice, to go bird watching, and I am ashamed to admit that I never stepped inside of the building. I wanted to, but the gardens were so nice, and the bird life so varied, that I just couldn't tear myself away. Oh well, next time.

We toured the site and were amazed at the house and it's history. The grounds surrounding the area were beautiful but we missed most of the flowers in bloom.
