This little neighborhood theatre has a long history so is everything you want a theatre to be -- ornate decor, opulent velour stage curtain, charm, comfortable seating, big but small enough to be cozy. Additionally there are two lounges where you can sit and talk...More

I was at the Strand for the Departure concert. Had an excellent time! Comfortable seating with friendly staff/ushers. The theater is like a step back in time (which I love). Have been to the Strand for silent films and also had a great time. Can't...More

If you want to step back in time then come to the Strand. Remember the hometown Marquis theatre? The shows from the balcony? Well add a lounge and a few bars including a rooftop view for a grown up experience in a time capsule. My...More

Went for a local showing of the princess bride. For an old time theater, it didn't smell, was clean and fairly comfortable. Would be nice to go back again. Oh they have a balcony too, that was kinda unique.

Great venue, sound is very good for concerts and musical groups. This theater has been upgraded to today's higher standards. The location is perfect for a full night of adventure. Many excellent dining place within walking distance.

I'm a tad biased about this place. I have been both a patron and a performer so I'm privy to how the theater works with the shows and deals with their patrons. My show, My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish & I'm in Therapy appeared...More

NEVER would I have expected to have such a great time watching a movie. I am really not a big television or movie fan, more of a reader, but I did want to see (or rather hear the organ) what I know understand to be...More
