First, we were delighted by the architecture of the old school house and the school class room was so fun!
Several of the galleries are not permanent, but we enjoyed the exhibits that were there.

Beautiful building with a great history and overview of Madison. Nice exhibits, that change on a regular basis, and a gift shop that provides very nice souvenirs. Well worth a couple hours, and you get to ring the old school bell in the belfry!!
This regional arts center and museum fits beautifully into the town's carefully-restored former graded-school building.
If you are lucky enough to be in town during a performance, do try and get tickets for the auditorium.

This beautiful building has been restored nicely. The exhibits fill in some knowledge gaps for visitors who aren't familiar with small town Georgia. I discovered they had just concluded a storytelling weekend, so I've already made plans to attend next year.
