    Beautiful and easy hike
This was such a nice visit! I have a 15 year old and a 8 month old and they both enjoyed it. The trails are mostly covered by trees and walking through caverns so even on a warm day it felt mostly cool. The views were spectacular and lots of great places for pictures. We went on a week day so it wasn’t overly crowded but I can see that could be an annoyance if it was as there are a lot of tight spaces and one way walks. Definitely recommend a visit for your family.

A place of Wonder, Excitement and Adventure! You won’t be disappointed 👍
This is our second of many future visits to this incredible place of joy, inspiration, and true beauty! We were vacationing with our family and had the pleasure of bringing our 3 year old grandson along for the trip. He loved every part of this trip. Every step was filled with adventure, excitement and joy. He didn’t want to leave. He especially enjoyed the Aesops Fable land as well as all of the great sites. The staff is friendly. The facility and paths are clean and well maintained. And the price is very affordable. We definitely are coming back again.
We are happy to hear you and your family made memories worth repeating at Rock City. We hope to see you again soon!

Seen the signs, See Rock City on barns? Go see it!
We've seen the signs for Rock City on barns for most of our lives, and we're in our 70s. So in July we took the time on our way back from Florida to stop in Chattanooga to see Rock City and Ruby Falls. I didn't know what to expect at Rock City, but the one hour plus walk greatly exceeded my expectations. A lot of work went into parts of this self-guided tour that I will leave you to find out for yourself. The cost is very reasonable and well worth your time, especially if you have kids/grandkids. Be sure you have good walking shoes and can handle the one-hour plus walk through some narrow passageways,

    A wonderland in the mountains~
Winding road to arrive (and descend), very nice attraction. The entire site was paved and easy to access, able to do own pace with limited time entries. Adorable gnomes throughout and wonderful photo opps. Worth the visit!

    Nature at its Best
After seeing ads up and down the east coast for many years, I had only assumed that this was a tourist trap. Oh my, how wrong I have been. My wife and I finally visited and thoroughly enjoyed the natural beauty. The original owners created trails through the huge rock formations showing off natural wonders. They also created some of their own with the fairy tale scenes deep within the rocks. The views from the overlooks are spectacular allowing visitors to enjoy the topography of the surrounding area.

    Enjoyed it!
Wasn't sure what to expect. The trail is well done with many beautiful sights. It's a beautiful location. Lovely waterfall, spectacular views, some great sculptures. I enjoyed the visit and it didn't feel too crowded even on Labor Day weekend. The Fairy land and mother goose are geared to kids but you can bypass those if you want .

Bit of a different trail walk
When I first entered the space I wasn’t too impressed. However, once we got a bit into the trail it was so much better than I thought. It really has a lot of beautiful and interesting rock formations on the trail along with a couple of small waterfalls. The views from the observation point are simply breathtaking and beautiful. The only negative is that there are a couple of tight squeezes between rock formations as you go. So if you are a person who is claustrophobic it may cause a little anxiety.

    Majestic trail journey
Wonderful place to visit. Magnificent vistas, very thoughtfully, created. Wonderful for children and people of all ages. We walked through two times as the first time I was so busy taking pictures that I wanted to go through it again and just enjoy the views.

    So well done!
This park highlights the natural beauty of the mountain, vista's and rock formations. We spent about 1.5 hours going through the well laid out, well signed Park. There are plaques giving historical details, artistic details such as colorful glass and painted doorways that enhance the natural beauty, and the whimsy of the Fairy Land area. You get some steps in, so wear walking shoes. Beautiful overlooks and countless photo opportunities. You can reserve your time slot and purchase tickets in advance. We went around 9:30 when they first opened and were glad we did, as it had gotten much more crowded by the time we left. We didn't eat, but there were several cafe areas, both at the vase and en route that looked appealing. We thoroughly enjoyed this park.
Thanks for visiting! We hope to see you again soon.

    Incredible views
Though it has a reputation as a "tourist trap", we found Rock City to be a great way to spend the morning. The 1.5 mile walk though the gardens was beautiful, and the view from Lover's Leap incredible. I enjoyed the Fairytale Gardens that I remembered visiting many years ago as a child. Highly recommended as a stop in Chattanooga.

We visited Rock City for the Christmas light display and it was spectacular. We went in the beginning, so we were able to see some of it with daylight and then watched it transform as the sun set. We thought the timed entry was great-We were able to walk the entire light trail without really encountering anyone else along the way. My toddler loved the lights, especially the part synced to music. Overall, we thought was a great, family friendly and COVID safe activity!

We loved our trip to Rock City! Ahead of time, I thought this was going to be overpriced and lame, but we all agreed it was worth the price of admission. The views from Lovers Leap were spectacular, and the rock features and gardens are beautiful. Yes, this is catered to tourists and parts of it are kind of kitschy, but for us that was part of its charm. We really enjoyed hunting for all the gnomes and in Fairyland Caverns, we felt like little kids again. Our lunch at Cafe Seven was awesome and was reasonably priced for lunch at an attraction (we thought priced similarly to any casual sit-down restaurant) and had the added benefit of a great view. We definitely will come back to this and “See Rock City” again!

We had a fabulous time at Rock City Summer 2020. Masks were worn by all attending the attraction and lots of updates were being constructed in and around the place but none interferred with the enjoyment of the experience. We even got the rare opportunity to eat at the rarely open Cafe 7 atop the highest peak of Lookout Mountain! Great views and delicious food! We enjoyed the gem purchase opportunities right outside the cafe area around the gem panning section. I was super glad to see that the old wooden partitions which used to sillouhette the Fairytale Cavern diorammas were removed so it was MUCH easier to get great shots of the inventive scenes within. This is my favorite section and kids love it just as well. I will say that with the social distancing in the primary gift shop it was overcrowded and the line was just WAY too long to wait in so best to shop there FIRST before going into the gardens section. Don't miss the fudge kitchen at the exit- everyone can see how fudge is traditionally made in the old copper Kettle & Marble Table cooling method. See Rock City Today and make memories to last a lifetime.

Rude employees. They have advertised on visitchattanooga.com (the visitor center for Chatt) a $1 off admission. It states you must print and present at ticket office. The guy refused to honor it saying they don’t take coupons. I then called the visitors center and they said Rock City is the one who submits that to their website. So I went and spoke to another employee who said she won’t accept it but if I wanted TO GO to my hotel (staying at Airbnb) and get a travel host coupon book, they have $1 off in it! How terribly rude customer service. All over $1! It’s overpriced as it is and ran by teenagers. There was no one at the ticket entrance working and people were just walking through! Glad I’m honest even though they were being petty. In this bad economy they should be thankful people are coming in 100 degree weather to this!

Prices start high and climb quickly. Premium event? Extra charge. Christmas lights / evening? Extra charge. Weekend? Extra charge. Supply and demand, I get it. But it was almost $100 to get our family of four, two of which were kids less than 6 years old, in the door.
Unfortunately, as the price continues to climb, they also close off some attractions due to the number of people in the park. The swinging bridge and the lover's leap viewpoint were two examples that were closed off due to the number of people there when we visited.
This was a fun place to take the kids. Lots to see and do. But its also a tourist trap. Glad to have done it once, but wouldn't return at full peak price.

Had pre purchased our tickets for December 20, 2020. We arrived somewhat early and was told we would have to wait until 3:30 the time of the tickets, we went to the ticket office to ask if there was anything we could do about purchasing earlier tickets etc. the BOSS went to speak to the employee OLGA and told her they were not at capacity. However, the rude employee still would not let us in until exactly our time. Every time we would check to see if we could enter she would specifically come and stop us.

We really enjoyed our time at Rock City. The garden and rock formations were really impressive. Unfortunately, it was foggy on the day we came so we weren't able to fully enjoy the views like we would have if it had been a clear day. We probably would have stayed longer but despite this, definitely enjoyed walking through. The Fairyland Caverns are a little odd, could even be creepy for kids and felt like unnecessary filler.
They seemed to be limiting tickets/reservations online so we ended up booking at a time of day that wasn't our first choice-only to find that when we got there, people were in line getting tickets-so it didn't really seem like they were enforcing how many people were going in. It was actually pretty crowded for about the first half of it and we had to consciously spread out to give everyone their space.

this is definitely touristy and kid friendly. I did not expect it to be so curated to tourists and paved. the views were wondrous but I felt like it was all too staged for us vs hiking, which is great for dogs, kids, elders. It was also steep price $20 or so to go through the "attraction" which was technically a mountain with paths. Gnome exhibit was a bit weird. Would have liked it to be less music/touristy.

We drove over 2 hrs to see Rock City and when we got there were told it cost $23 00 per person just to see Water Fall and Look Out. The woman in the Gift Shop was very rude to us. As seniors we asked if there was another place to see it and she said, we could try hang gliding. Never will recommend this place. Unfriendly! Over priced! Cheaply made Birdhouses!

Unexpected gem with scenic vistas and waterfall. Easy hike up and down, beautiful gardens along the way.
There are bathrooms and refreshments at the top
Recommend getting advanced tickets if going during the peak season
