When I was a child my parents rented cottages here in the State Park. We had the best of times and memories. Today it is still preferred by many to camp and rent cabins. We love this area on Clark's Hill Lake. (Lake Thurmond)

My kids and I stayed overnight at the walk in tent site here at Elijah Clark. The park itself is a gem! We liked the history, the hiking trail, the closeness and beauty of the lake, the warm comfort station. We also liked the small basketball court and playground. We came on a Monday, and were the only campers in... More

One of our favorite parks for RV camping, boating and fishing in Georgia. Comfort stations are well maintained. Staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly. They have had to close their grey water dumps due to misuse by campers even though they are still marked on the park map. This requires the use of main dump station for all waste... More

Very nice park. We have camped here many times. My son & daughter-in-law even got married there. They were married on the beach and had the reception in a large building on the hill above. The bath houses are very nice & clean.

We came here for the state park geocaches. They were on a nice trail near a large picnic shelter and the trail was nicely taken care of with only a few small hills. The kids loved the park's two playgrounds, one is close to the Visitor's Center and has a neat oval-shaped climbing wall. The other one has a great... More

The park is nice, small, but nice. Only one trail, but has two playgrounds, volleyball, basketball, and fishing to entertain the kiddos. Beware the wind on the lake though!!! It was terribly windy while we were there which mean no campfire and cooking was quite a task! We will try again in the summer when there are no possible winds!... More

We visited this state park with family and the place is amazing. We had to cut down the duration due to heavy winds and rain but enjoyed every bit of it. The shelters were nice to keep us away from rain during day and then we rented a Canoe, saw people fishing and having lot of fun. The camp sites... More
