The work this place does is amazing but we were disappointed. Considering the circumstance that turtles come to this place, I guess it was a good thing that there were only 4 turtles there. We tried to ask a couple questions but were ignored . The kids were bored and it was not an enjoyable experience for us.

These is a must see if you have kids or if your a turtle lover. I learned a lot about sea turtles during this visit. Also there's a lot of hands on activities for children and those adults who are kids at heart.. There's also a cute gift shop on site.

This new and beautiful facility is educational and inspirational. You can see vets working on turtles the center has rescued and watch the patients get fed. I am attaching a video of my favorite, a loggerhead rescue named Charlie. I plan on returning. Kids will like hands on educational materials and seeing the animals. Heck, I liked it too! Support... This is a definite stop for anyone and everyone. Go to the morning 10 feeding, after they have their 'talk' everyone thinks it's but if you hang around that is when the feeding actually starts. Please note they try not to have human contact with them so they learn not to trust humans and can be released back into the... More

The folks at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center are so very passionate about turtles and in educating the public. I had no intention of stopping here, but my 88 year old step-father wanted to check it out. Very small but very educational. Great stop for families with school aged children. I am more educated about turtles than I ever thought... More

We made a reservation for the behind the scenes tour and very glad we did. Although we were the only ones in the tour, we felt like it would have been the same with a group. When we visited the care/ treatment center, they were treating a turtle with a boat - strike injury. The vet tech's were very caring,... More
