The knowledgeable staff answered all my question and knew alot about the island in general. Check he schedule before you go to be sure to be there for feedings and other special programs they have throughout the day

This facility is geared towards education. If you are looking to see lots of turtles you may be disappointed. Learned a lot about lifecycle and habitat of turtles with hands-on exhibits. Good for children of all ages. Less than 2 hours to make your way...More

Can't wait to visit again, so informative, an amazing learning experience. The care and rehabilitation of the turtles is amazing to see. The gift shop is beautiful.

Great family visit to the center lots information. Learnt a lot about sea turtles and got to see several being treated at the center. Good value for money and the behind the scenes is recommended.

So informative... Hats off to the volunteers & staff for being so knowledgeable & dedicated. Periodic interactive presentations introduce you to the "patients" that are in rehab, their treatments, & results. Exhibits change regularly. I would recommend calling the center, to be sure, but i doubt dogs are allowed inside the facility. I didnt see any on the premises while i was there.

Absolutely!! Plenty of hands-on educational exhibits. And if you can set it up at just the right time, the kids can be there for a turtle feeding and possibly even watch Dr. Norton and his staff caring for a turtle!
