This beach has lots of old trees toppled and beach washed on the sand. It is a great place to explore, reflect and take photos. But bring your bug Spray! We were there as a storm roles in and the views were breathtaking.

Always the best place to go - go early in the morning and enjoy the solitude. Make sure to go around the bend to see the best trees. When we were there we counted 15 turtle nests!

We really enjoyed walking around the beach; it was absolutely beautiful at sunset and very neat to see the natural tree formations.

Finally made a trip to Driftwood Beach after years of living in South Georgia. Stepping from the bushes on to the beach is stepping out among skeletons from another age. Everywhere there are the remnants of storm-tossed trees, twisted into fantastic shapes by the wind...More

This beach is so unusual and worth seeing. The driftwood is everywhere on the shore and I have never seen anything like it before. Very interesting.

Best beach of the Golden Isles. So very pretty, big huge dead trees littering the beach. Lots of shells. Definitely would go back.

We loved walking on this beach and looking at all the driftwood! It was so beautiful and stunning. Very relaxing and a wonderful place to take photos. It's really worth a visit if you are in the area!

Not your ordinary beach with the many pieces of driftwood. Most are pretty good sized and make fit an unusual and beautiful. It is located a very short walk from the road and is close to the campground. Would definitely recommend.

While on Jekyll Island a trip to Driftwood Beach is a definite must. Rent some bikes and ride around the island with a definite stop here to get great pics.

You would have to walk through a wooded area in sand. I would have someone walk the path first to see how soft it is. The beach itself is hard. Depending on how you maneuver through the driftwood you could see quite a bit of... More

I doubt it. This is a state park and it is protected but ask at the gate entrance. I know there are signs that you cannot take away any driftwood.
