This dedicated band of players has managed to stick together and continue performing for over thirty years...without a theater! Named to honor the Tate family legacy in North Georgia, they started out in 1977, staging their next production wherever they could beg a space. That meant hauling sets, props, wardrobe, makeup tables and actors to high school and elementary school... More

Talented local talent... A very small theater lends to a friendly casual atmosphere. Building is difficult to find at first but well worth the effort. Get your popcorn and drink before the show at the snack bar. After the show, get to meet the actors and some of the local volunteers. They all give this night out a personality. Love... More

We have seen several plays and most of them have been entertaining. The theater does not accommodate a very large audience (Maybe 75 at most.)

We went to see their Christmas production of "In-Laws, Outlaws and Other People Who Should Be Shot". We found it to be an enjoyable evening. While there were different levels of skill amongst performers we still had a good time with family and friends. Where else can you go for a little more than the cost of a movie ticket... More

If you are not local, the location can be a little difficult to locate. Don't let that stop you it is behind the Walmart to the right in an Industrial Park. We've seen multiple productions here. I love the comedies. It's local performers that vary from one production to the next. Sometimes they offer summer camps to youth. It's comfy... More

Well this is not play settings I had seen in Manhattan theaters. BUT for a small town play is really fun and entertaining as well you can hand shake all the actors. Atmosphere is very " home town" warm and friendly. Many of the volunteer actors are gifted and in to the play with all they hart's.

The troupe started several years ago in the school auditorium of nearby Tate GA (hence the name). They have grown into their own building with comfortable theater seating. They put on 5 or 6 shows a year. All of their productions are entertaining, but I like the comedies the best.

For a small town local theater this place is really nice. The all volunteer staff is very friendly. The theater is clean with excellent, comfortable seating. Of course they do not compare with the large city playhouses but, they deserve a hearty score of 5 for a theater of their size. They also have a nice selection of concessions. This... More

Enjoyed this local but professional-quality theater both as an audience member and as a participant. They do plays and musicals very well, and they're fun both to watch and to perform with.
