Closest hotel on business so we stood here. Hotel rooms are much nicer than I expected for a Lodge/State Park. I fished in a couple of locations, saw a few gators and saw the most amazing sunsets. Food was ok. Not great but good enough. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed the weekend in two cabins. The cabins were clean and had 4 beds. The staff was very easy to work with. We played three rounds of golf. The golf course is excellent. Very well maintained and was not crowded the days we went.

We visited the park and enjoyed our explorations. The pool is ok. The park is well maintained. There are lots of fun outdoor activities in the park. Bike rentals are very reasonable. The restaurant has found its way onto the worst places to eat list. Waitstaff was horrible and the menu is small.

Enjoyed the entire Park. Beautiful setting and views. Lot of area History around as well! Nice and clean, Park Staff great and nice Lodge to stay in with all ground floor rooms. Some Cabins available also. Park was close to the Fort Gaines Frontier Village in town where the BBQ Festival was so made it nice going and coming.

We stayed at the park in late March. The weather was nice, although slightly chilly a few mornings. We brought our boat and did some fishing on the lake. Explored some of the small towns nearby. We reserved one of the lodge suites. It was very spacious and the location was nice... back of the lodge facing the trees and... More

The lodging itself needs a lot of work. I went to George T. Bagby to play some golf for a weekend and was greatly impressed. This state park has a fantastic course! Best in the area by far!

Not very much beach space. They dumped sand on a grassy area along the water and made it into a poor quality beach. This is a great area for family though. There is a playground right there near the "beach"

Bagby State Park is set in a beautiful location on Lake Walter George. The park's amenities include a beach/swimming area, picnic tabels, playground, hiking, marina, lodge and cottage rentals. We enjoyed a bike ride and the kids loved playing in the sand and swimming in the pool. We were happy to find that the pool was open so late in... More

When I started to plan our August 2013 family reunion, George T Bagby State Park was the best choice. With two types of lodging available with lodge (hotel) rooms or cottages (cabin rentals), this location was great for our family. Our family stayed in Cabin #4 for about $150. This cabin featured a beautiful, equipped kitchen, screened in porch with... More
