Had a few great trips between Ullapool-Stornaway (Isle Lewis), Tarbert-Loch Maddy- Uig (Isle Skye) All ships were clean, staff were friendly, good coffee(!!!) & very comfortable seating options. There was even a ‘quiet room’ on one of the boats which was bliss because heaps of...More

It only takes about 30 minutes to travel, but if you don't make a reservation, you may have to wait for a later ferry. We did have to wait, and we used the time very profitably at Armadale Castle.

Tour bus had a problem in road height because it was a kneeling type and had to raise itself up. Add cars to lower ship and on we went. Nice ride with great views from upper deck and there is 2 decks wit seating inside.

Going south one wins time by going with this ferry instead of going by the bridge. Booking online is a bit tricky but it works and the trip over the water is nice. Seats inside and outside. Worth the money.

We took a ferry from Armadale to Mallaig. It took somewhat 30 minutes. There are lots of seating areas on the ferry and a cafe too. Nice views from the deck to the surrounding sea and isles. Just nice way to travel.
