Amicoloa Falls are the tallest falls in the southeastern part of the U.S. A "paved" (with rubber) trail leads to the center of the falls. From here, a viewer can walk either up or down two sets of stairs. I walked to the bottom; my 73-year-old husband did not. I didn't brave the even longer climb to the top. The... More

Clean, great views, varying levels of hikes, cabins, camping, picnic areas, playgrounds and a nice visitor center. The annual pass is worth getting.

The falls are beautiful. We viewed from the top and again from the very bottom. Weather was very wet so no hiking - just drives to the viewpoints and short hikes for the views. Worth a few hours visit.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Amicalola Falls 41 years ago, went back to celebrate our annivesary this year. Both times stayed in a cottage at the bottom of the Falls (no Lodge 41 years ago). The cottage was very nice, very clean, kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. Dined at the "Maple Restaurant"... More

There are 12 different hiking trails here, including the start (or end) of the Appalachian Trail. There's something for everyone of every skill level. I think the best approach to the falls if you're a beginner to mid level hiker is the following: The Base of Falls trail up to the Falls. Why? Because you can see the falls the... More

Spent the day with my family (kids 9, 6, 4) hiking around Amicalola. The waterfall is amazing. The different vantage points to see it from are fantastic. We brought lunch up to the lodge and picnicked out on the rocking chairs out back. Perfect weather was a big plus too.

Had a great time camping in our 38 ft motor home in site 21. We did the zip line and had a great time, beautiful view from lines. My only disappointment with the zip line was no one told us there was a 2000 ft line that you could purchase for a extra $15 until we had already started. Also... More

The falls and views are breathtaking. Campground was very clean and private. There was not a lot of traffic in the campground which made it kid friendly for bikes and razor riding. Bathrooms clean but in need of updating. Camping fee was a little high I thought compared to other state parks we have visited. The zip line tours were... More

Great place for a "tryout" to see if you are trail ready. It is a rough up and down climb. You will feel it the next day!
