Expected to see the big paddle wheel driven by the momentum of downstream water flow, however, it was a gear driven system underneath the mill that was driven by the current. Nice area to take a walk and hike around.

Just checking out some of the historic sites around Dalton. Lovely place, just wish it had not been cold & windy the day we went. Would have enjoyed staying longer.

I take my pups here to exercise we use the hiking path around the river and back through the woods and my highlight is the Indian graves so peaceful and not to mention in October they have the craft shows.
