We enjoyed this mine. Our tour guide CJ had a lot of funny corny jokes and he did a great job with the tour. AFTERWARDS mom and I panned a bucket of gemstones from Mike and we had so many pretty stones. Afterwards we went to a guy who sorted the stones and told me which stones I can use... More

Educational and fun. I had 8,11 and 14 year olds on this visit and each loved it. Staff is great. Tip: mine tour has steep steps and inclines. I have heart disease but I could do it. The mine is chilly. If you are tall, wear the helmets they offer. Our tour guide was JD. He was great and had... More

We visited the consolidated gold mine and did the gold panning and gem mining and took the gold mine tour. The tour was great but physically challenging. There were a lot of steps and walking but I was able to do it with a ruptured ACL but I had to be careful and go a little slower but still managed... More

What a wonderful place to visit! We are local and brought visiting family with small children. The staff do a wonderful job and entertain the young as well as the old. Josh was our tour guide and did an amazing job. He passed along very interesting history about the mine. We visited the mine many years ago and visiting today... More

Didn't know what to expect. Showed up and was able to walk right in. Tour was so good. Deep underground. Guide was older guy with a beard but not like a duck dynasty beard. More like kenny rogers. He was smart, well spoken and informative.

When friends from out of town come to visit us in Atlanta, consolidated gold mines is one of the top choices of fun things to do. Some thing for all ages (who doesn't get a thrill panning for gold?). Fascinating tour of the mine, but good mobility is a must. All of the staff is enthusiastic and well informed. We... More

Enjoyed our visit to this attraction. We paid for an underground mine tour and had 40 minutes to go before tour time. That gave us time to do the panning for gold that cane along with the tour ticket. Hubby and I watched the instructional video and the prospectors on site still gave us a hand at perfecting our panning... More

The staff is so friendly! I loved experiencing some of the history deep in the mine. Boy, those miners in the past sure were tough. Great lesson.

Visited the mines. It included panning for gold. And we bought optional gem buckets. Turned our gems into jewelry, for an additional price, but something to remember the trip! Great place.

Good tour about 40 minutes long of a old gold mine. Wife and kids enjoyed it as did I. Tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of the mine and various aspects of mining. Price was reasonable. Panning for gold was included and was fun. Panning for gem stones was extra, and we chose to skip that. Worth the visit.
