I absolutely love visiting the Sawnee Mountain Preserve, in northeast Cumming, GA. Great for a picnic. Wonderful nature trails. The reserve is separated into two parts by Bettis Tribble Gap Road. Since I'm encumbered by arthritis, I take the easier path from the north parking...More

Excellent place to hike or walk. The trails are well maintained and the views are lovely. There are areas to picnic and clean bathroom facilities.

For being so close to metro-Atlanta, the hike is pleasant and not difficult, the view is beautiful. Well traveled, not overly crowded trail.

Well kept trails and lots of different access points for a good (up and down) hike. Distance isn't super long, but the elevation is good to get the blood flowing!

Awesome sunrise view. Sunset view is even more beautiful. Just remember to take a flashlight to come down after sunset. Must be beautiful with fall colors in a couple weeks.

Hi. It is a hike to the view from the top. If you are going to do the walk, start from the parking lot on Tribble Gap Road, and not the visitor's center.
