We took the van tour through Cumberland Island our guide was Kathy she was very knowledgeable about the island history, wildlife and geography. she was very accommodating to our wants and needs very professional and an overall nice person to spend a day with!

Our six hour van tour guided by Mike was an unexpected delight. Many great stories. At the end of the day we came away with a personal understanding of how our Industrialists lived and vacationed.

There are no paved roads on Cumberland. It is all packed sand. The tour is bumpy on the northern end of the island due to tree roots. You do have to do the whole tour once onboard. If your primary goal is to see the horses... More
