This has always been one of the cleanest rest areas we have stopped at. Now it has been remodeled and it's even better. There is new tile in the bathrooms. There is a new entrance.

Laura Book at the Visitor Information Center Columbus was wonderfully clear, drawing on a GA map and talking about how to get to Pasaquan on Saturday Oct 22. Pasaquan is very interesting and colorful and now after the Grand Opening Oct 22, is open Thursday thru Saturday 10am till 5pm

Finally, the renovation is complete and the facility is OPEN! They added a family restroom and all the restrooms are brand new and beautiful. It will be interesting to see how they hold up. We were returning to Florida after the hurricane Matthew evacuation, and weren't sure the best route to take. The Welcome Center was a pleasant respite along the way. We got excellent, cheerful help and a free map from Laura Book at the Georgia Visitor Information Center, and It made our trip home so much easier. Thanks!

The Visitor Center has been closed for renovation for awhile, When it opens, I would not recommend due to the access on and off the highway is not convenient. The location and distance from the highway is awkward.
