Really great to see an often overlooked aspect of the war explained and brought to life so thoughtfully. I don't often read every word about every exhibit or picture but this was different. The ironclad and merrimac exhibts were really informative and gave an idea...More

I am a Civil War buff and have visited numerous Civil War museums, but was unaware of this one until told of it by a friend living nearby. While concentrating on Civil War Naval history and vessels, other rare items were displayed too. Cannons, artillery...More

While taking our son back to ft. Benning we visited here. The lady at the front was very cheerful and helpful. We loved seeing all the history. It was a nice trip and loved the Plymouth setup. Very interesting.

When you study the history of the Civil War you usually do not read very much about the Naval battles. This museum fills in that history. This museum tells about both sides, the various vessels built by the Union and the Confederacy, where the battles...More

Can’t say enough about this museum. What a surprise! Informative and entertaining for all ages. Never concentrated or even gave a thought to maritime war in GA and other states. Gives information on both sides of the fight...who did what to whom, etc.
