Karpaz gate marina looks beautiful but is over priced and very poorly managed. Families of 2 adults and 2 children are forced to book 2 rooms therefore paying double price. Breakfast adds additional charges for children (despite paying for a full extra room they are not entitled to breakfast etc as we found out. Plus even orange juice is charged extra for them at breakfast!!)
Management is rude, service on the beach is very slow and they are unable to open tabs to the room from the beach so you have to take cash. You can’t take your own water for the kids either from the room to the beach. Considering the prices, this is pretty insulting.
We were very disappointed at the cost and value for Money. Kids are not welcome in the indoor pool either and the hot tub/jacuzzi is cold all year round.
Massage/ spa is mediocre at best and whilst access to some services are included in your stay you have to book in advance which isn’t explained when you book.
Better to spend your money on nicer service in other places in Karpaz especially for families with children. Avoid.

We arrived at the karpaz gate marina really looking forward to getting something to eat after a long drive . What a disappointment! We wondered along the marina to find no staff about at the Hemmingway restaurant so continued along - all the shops were closed , so we walked down to the beach club to see if we could eat there. Again staff were in short supply and the ones that were there completely ignored us. We sat one of the tables and asked for a menu after having sat for 10 minutes only to be told that they would not serve us unless we paid the 10 lire fee to use the beach club. All we wanted to do was order some food but unless we paid a fee to use the sunbeds and pool this was impossible. The staff were so incredibly rude we got up and left and certainly won't be going back. The marina was quiet and hardly had any customers I'm surprised they can turn away any business. We drove further up the coast and spent 2 days traveling the karpaz area using local restaurants and staying at the fantastic villa lembos where the food and service was amazing. Our tip would be use local restaurants where the service is hospitable and the staff are friendly and engaging rather than totally uninterested and rude as at the karpaz gate marina where customer service is non existent .

Firstly, the food is good and the prices are also reasonable. Good selection. The place is very clean as is the beach area.
Now, where do I start? There is an English and a Turkish menu. They differ. If you order a Salad Nicoise, the English one includes potatoes and green beans but the Turkish one does not. So the chef prepares the one he can read! Was I the first customer to notice?
Another dish, in English includes Sautéed Vegetables, the Turkish one states the same in Turkish, but the chef couldn't be bothered to do the vegetables, so just put a few lettuce leaves on the plate. The waiter believing I did not know Turkish said the Turkish one, like the Salad Nicoise did not have the same ingredients. But I pointed out it did. He then lied to me saying the dressing or the sauce, was the Sauteed Vegetable in Turkish! I know the difference. Sote in Turkish even sounds like the English Sautéed, as opposed to the Turkish Sos, which you will have guessed is sauce!
The above episode was at Hemingways. Later we ate at the beach restaurant. The staff were having a massive argument. After asking them to quieten down, which they did for a couple of minutes, it all kicked off again. This was in the inside area. The main culprit was the girl behind the till. Normally a highly respected position reserved for a family member! I believe even the manager was involved. If the owners want to watch the CCTV check out 11 September about 13:00!
I believe the problem with these restaurants lies with the fact that it is in the middle of nowhere and to get good quality, motivated staff and managers and in the case of waiters speak good English, is nearly impossible due to its location.
I really feel for the owners who have plowed millions of pounds into this venture, just to be let down by a few members of staff.
Hemingways was as dead this year as it was last year.

Was on holiday in Arapkoy and drove to the beach club/Marina it took about 50 mins , but we'll worth the drive, beautiful swimming pool, large sun loungers with complementary towels , lovely beach and fantastic restaurant , for lunch we had seafood pizza, chips, 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine all for £10.00 And the pizza was amazing

We had a wonderful day out at Karpaz Gate Marina. Cannot fault anything. Lovely staff and the facilities are fantastic. The pool is unbelievable! If you want a great relaxing day with a lovely, reasonably priced restaurant, you can't find anywhere better. Entry fee at just a fiver!! Beats Escape Beach on every count! Worth the drive..... It is quite a way from Girne.

The marina facilities are fantastic. Modern and high end. Fantastic facilities for those with sailing or motor boats. Clean and efficiently run marina and pontoons. Everything you need if visiting the marina whether overnight or longer. Very helpful staff in the marina offices. They nearly all speak English. Open 7 days a week. Fueling, engineering facilities and everything you could want from a marina. The chandlery is very basic for the standard of the marina, and the store sells only basic food. However Hemmingways restaurant is beautifully furnished, air conditioned and comfortable. The service can be slow though. They serve food and drinks all day and evening. If you don't have a boat but are in the area then I believe you can pay to visit the beach club for the day. Once again excellent facilities, beach, pool, fab bar and restaurant, pool and changing rooms etc. easy parking. Well worth visiting.

We always take a trip out to Kapaz Gate Marina when staying near Girne - if the weather's good then we have a day at the Beach Club but today was very windy so we had a nice long relaxing lunch in Hemeingways Restaurant in the Marina.
Hemingways offers superb coffee (Illy I think !) and great food and wine in spotless surroundings.
Lunch today was a grilled seabass which was really enjoyable
Oh and the serve Aperol too !
Take the time to visit and enjoy it !!

My purpose to visit was to go diving with Mephisto, but I also sail. Looking around at the Marina, it's state of the art.

Visited this marina on recommendations from friends, an hours drive from where we were staying at Esentepe, an easy drive on a very quiet coast road, arrived at the marina.
We went straight to the marina, beach and infinity pool, had a great day, staff were lovely, polite and helpful, it cost 15TL for the day, but well worth it, food was lovely a not expensive, all in all a lovely day out, well recommended for people to visit!
