This local gem is well done. It is unusual to think of finding a world class western art museum in this part of the country, but here it is. From the layout of the facility grounds to the variety of the interior rooms, there is something here for everyone. Add free parking in the lot across the street, and all... More

Very educational as well as interesting collections. So many perspectives represented - that of Native Americans, cowboys, Buffalo Soldiers, pioneers, also an entire room of presidential memorabilia. For an overview, I first took a very informative and free tour with an extremely knowledgeable guide - then explored the entire museum on my own. Returned for a second day - it... More

As a resident of Cartersville, I have been to the Booth a number of times over the years. We really are lucky to have such a nice museum in town. I would definitely recommend checking it out. The permanent collection has some very nice paintings by very well known artists, and they often have great exhibitions as well. I dropped... More

The Booth Western Museum is something you would expect to see in New York, Boston or another really big city. Beautiful modern building with extraordinary pieces of art. I believe the museum is associated with the Smithsonian. This is a perfect day trip from Atlanta or Chattanooga. The museum has special showings and currently has an Ansel Adams show and... More

I personally hate art, paintings and statues but went through this place and it was quite interesting! Worth a weekend visit for sure.

One does not think of Cartersville, Georgia, as the probable home of a fine museum. I was visiting my cousin who took us there, and I was blown away. The Booth Museum has an extensive collection of western art including a few Remingtons, and Russells, but also extensive holdings of contemporary artists as well. The exhibits are housed according to... More

Perfect side trip when traveling for those that like various types of art (paintings, sculptures, etc). They have a nice selection of historical art works that give you a good idea about life during those time periods. Definitely a pleasant surprise to find this in a small Georgia town.

A world class museum with 120,000 sqft of exhibit space . In addition to Western Art there are entire rooms devoted to American presidents, movie memorabilia and American presidents. For me the highlight was the largest collection of bronze figures I am aware of.

This is our second visit to the Booth. It is a beautiful facility with beautiful grounds and excellent collections. This is not about cowboys and Indians western art. It's western collection actually represents the western United States, with well known artists represented. In addition, there also is an excellent civil war collection. Very friendly and well informed staff, and a... More

One of the highlights of our trip to the south. The art is truly breathtaking and well worth the journey to see. A family reunion is planned in the area next year, and we will be taking our grandchildren, for sure! It is a hidden gem....
