Vogel is a beautiful park with cabins and camper spaces. The park includes a large lake with a pavilion where they have free concerts on Saturday nights from May to October. They have a nice gift shop and the employees are very friendly.

Lots to do. Lake for fishing, kayaking, swimming. More trails to hike than there is time for and from a leisurely 1 mile hike around the lake, to an extensive one where you may want to camp halfway through. Small mini golf course. Large pavilions to have big groups. The lots are kept very clean by all the volunteers. Bathrooms were... More

Recently, we took several hikes in this very picturesque park. Starting at a lake at the base, we continued up to see great views near 4000" elevation. Its only a 20-30 minute drive to BrassTown Bald which at 4800+ " elevation is the highest point in Ga.

The mountains of North Georgia do not have gandeur, but they do have beauty. The Park is a great example and worth a visit is you like the outdoors and mild hiking.

I have camped here and stayed in the cabins many times and it is a fun experience, but the reason we would go is to get together as family time. Now the cabins and campgrounds have wi-fi which causes friction between the parents and sibliings. the parents control the access but then the teen or pre teen is mad and... More

This park has beautiful camp sites for all kinds of camping. Places for large motor homes all the way to tent camping. The store is well stocked for any need that may come up during camping as well as souvenirs. If you want to relax on the lake, you can do that or rent a bike to see all of... More

This is a gem of a state park. Clean, well kept, new fencing and Bridges's are safe and the landscaping is lovely. It's just $5 per car too. Closes at 9pm unless your camping overnight so enjoy the clean beach, clean bathrooms, fully stocked (food and fire wood) fun gift shop and don't leave with a walk around the pond... More
