Great place to explore

We stopped here by chance and enjoyed looking around. They have some great history and things to learn. It's nicely kept and great stop to explore outdoors.

This park is bigger than we thought. The train and old buildings are great to see, The museum was not open nor the wildlife rescue but we enjoyed the park anyway. There is a campground, playground, restrooms and a drive that goes along the river. I must mention that we did see some people we thought to be of questionable... More

My child really loves trains, so when I found we lived very close to this Museum, I was really excited for him. The people there aren't very friendly. I was lying in bed 2 days following the first visit because I sat on the steps of the post office museum house. Within less than 30 seconds my legs were on... More

Camping was great! Restrooms need updating. Had a great time taking pictures. Camping sites were big. Great playground for kids.

I discovered this attraction by accident at the road junction of US 17 and Hwy 64 near Zolfo Springs. The area consists of several old buildings, a steam engine, slurry pump and the Cracker Trail Museum. Admission to the museum was only $2.00 and it had a wealth of display items as well as information on the history of the... More

We stopped in this park to actually visit the Wildlife Refuge on the grounds (reviewed separately) and enjoyed the park itself. There are some nice spots for camping, and the Peace River looks like a great spot for kayaking and boating. There are picnic tables throughout if you're looking to spend the day and even a playground for the kids.... More

Beautiful, well-maintained park. Camping, Peace River, wonderful roads to run/walk on, children's playground...in general, a very nice place to be.

Not a lot to see here but there's great potential and room to expand. I always like a little history so it was fun to look around. I wouldn't make this a destination drive but if you are in the neighborhood it's fun.

we've been coming to Florida for years and as a result we're getting to explore more areas off the usual beaten track. We fell across this park by accident. It has animal refuge (seperate review) which is well worth spending $4.28 and an hour in. There are also a collection of old houses, a locomotive and a small museum, again... More

I have been camping here for many, many years. It never fails to be relaxing and tranquil until recently. The camping areas are clearly marked "Registered Campers Only" but people are still coming in and setting up day picnics in camp sites. They let their children and pets (I actually saw a goat running unleashed with kids this time) run... More
