Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This trip was full of surprises. I knew that we will see beautiful view, but I did not expect that in the way we will also have fabulous culinary experiences. The food we were served on every stop was restaurant quality, I have no idea how the guys managed to prepare it in those simple camping conditions. Our guide, Lintang, is a sweetheart and I would recommend to do this hike with him to everybody. He is kind and knowledgeable and also discreet, leaving hikers their own time. Completely accidentally we managed to see luwak (the famous coffee cat) that came to our camp looking for food. That was unforgettable!

An amazing experience. My guide Juan was very patient and encouraging. I took 5 hours to reach the summit instead of 3 and missed the sunrise. It was the hardest hike I have ever done but so rewarding. Be careful of the monkeys and make sure your tent is zipped up. One got into my tent and stole my toilet bag. We managed to get it back eventually. I don’t regret doing the 2 day 1 night. You need to be fit and have some distance hiking experience. This climb takes a lot of determination and willpower. The food was more than enough for me and very tasty. Believe all the reviews and be prepared to be pushed to you limit. Thank you Senaru Trekking.

We had an amazing experience climbing Rinjani. Our guide Sam was very helpful - and also very quick - but he was able to wait for me and follow my pace when things got tough (unfortunately suffered from altitude sickness just 200m before summit, where he kindly helped me climb down to recover my breathing and stop migraines, offering some water and guidance and even offered to help me climb back up after). First day was easy enough, good climb with stops along the way and the view on top was stunning - probably the prettiest view I ever had hiking. The food was great and the camp was set up quickly with all equipments you need! Even the hotel the day before was lovely and they gave us great advise on where to eat and where to go to see waterfall (15min walk only!). I highly recommend to anyone - even without reaching summit (3,500 out of 3726m for me) I had an unforgettable experience and am really glad I did it - definitely will bring medicine again altitude sickness next time!

Trip with friend is the best!! This Rinjani trip is one of the best in my life so far.

Special thanks to our mountain guide Mr. Bayu, take a very good care in this 3D2N, and also give us the history knowledge of the Mt. Rinjani. Big thanks to all the porter who prepared our tent and food in this trip, without anyone of them, is impossible to make it to Rinjani's summit.

If you happen want to go up to Rinjani's summit, please look for Mr.Bayu, don't worry, he will take a really good care for your trip!!!

Amazing experience climbing rinjani on the 2D1N trip with our guide Ari. Ari was very attentive and always making sure we were doing ok or needed a break. The porters also do an incredible job carrying all the equipment and food up, cooking and setting tents up for us. There was lots of food and good variety as well as snacks and water.
Overall great experience. The only thing I would suggest is working with the guesthouses to have an option for a proper shower when coming back from the hike.

We had a great experience with the 4d/3n Option, as the second day was hard enough without another ascend. Jul was quick and very helpful in responding. The organization was super easy and everything on time (even the pickup in the middle of nowhere. We would strongly recommend Dani, a very experienced and nice guide with great English skills. The porters were also extremely polite and astonishing cooks and barbecued even freshly caught fish from the crater lake on day 2. The equipment is perfectly clean and in good condition. The sleeping bags are a bit thin for the very cold nights, so we would recommend to bring extra warm underwear for sleeping.

The trekking was a great experience! It was a challange with beautiful views of the Island of Lombok. Our guide Yoss arranged a fitting trekking for us whilst maintaining the right pace.

My friend and I did a 3d2n trek. It was amazing that Senaru trekking accomodated us to trek immediately after we landed.

Our guide Lintang was so amazing and patient with us. I wasn’t well and he was so patient even though it took us ages to hike up to the summit (8hrs) and another 2hrs+ down. Kudos to him. No word of complaint throughout the arduous long trek to the summit, only care and concern.

Our porter and cooks were also amazing and prepared delicious food for us everyday. They were very friendly and helpful and ensured that we comfortable and well looked after.

It was an amazing and unforgettable trek. Great experience.
