We walked through Mead Garden and it's so very peaceful. Restrooms are available along with picnic tables. Great place to chill or walk around. Surprised at how large the green space is for the location.

This would be one the most peaceful / colorful part of your trip. It's well worth the admission. I would not recommend going after a Hurricane, since there's a lot of plant damage. This gives the plants to grow strong and be AWESOME for sight-seeing.
A hidden gem, I almost do not want to write a review--it's the best kept secret in Winter Park! Grounds are well maintained and still the gardens represent a natural habitat. I like that the lawn isn't well-manicured which loans to its forestland-feel.
