We walked through Mead Garden and it's so very peaceful. Restrooms are available along with picnic tables. Great place to chill or walk around. Surprised at how large the green space is for the location. There's also a community garden attached for people to rent...More

No maps. No signs.Paths not clear. Hence we found very little of interest and we did not stay long. Hardly a botanic garden.

This would be one the most peaceful / colorful part of your trip. It's well worth the admission. I would not recommend going after a Hurricane, since there's a lot of plant damage. This gives the plants to grow strong and be AWESOME for sight-seeing.

It was nice for 1/2 hour stroll on a sunny Sunday afternoon, but I had expected it to be a little bigger from looking at the maps. The boardwalk is lovely and peaceful.

A hidden gem, I almost do not want to write a review--it's the best kept secret in Winter Park! Grounds are well maintained and still the gardens represent a natural habitat. I like that the lawn isn't well-manicured which loans to its forestland-feel. Plenty of...More

For a free garden and museum this place is not to be missed. Theodore Mead was a leading american botanist and naturalist who moved to Florida. The garden themselves are quite large and took us a few hours to explore, with an extraordinary rose garden,...More

This was a nice place to take a walk, but we were expecting more. I photographed the map for a guide but although I am a good map reader, the map did not seem accurate. If you are looking for a place to take a...More

This is a nice tranquil park/garden with no admission charge. Mead has several ponds and a boardwalk area, and near the entrance of variety of plants in a garden setting. People were fishing, walking their dogs, and a wedding was about to begin. There is...More

Beautiful, quite park with lots of gorgeous plants and flowers to check out. My three y/o loved all the lizards. And I can now say I have seen a red pineapple and a giant lubber grasshopper.

I think you can. There's a pretty trellis with pretty flowers around it. It's on the left side after you enter. Also has a little courtyard with some statues that would be nice:)
