Beach

This is a very picturess beach was very quiet and relaxing I couldn't see any public toilets but there was a bar. Very quiet area although we did go on a week day.

Great beach especially with a young family the trees provide shelter. The beach bum shack serves great food at reasonable prices.

When it's windy there is a lot of waves and algaes. But the place is really beautiful with warm water.

Half Moon Bay is right at the bottom of Antigua. It is out of the way. You need a taxi or car to get there. No hotels or jet skis. No boats at all in fact. And hardly any people. This is probably why it is the best beach on the island and the government has declared it a National... More

This is a lovely beach that took us a good half hour to travel to across the island from Jolly Beach. It is secluded and beautiful here with not a lot of tourists. There are two eating establishments there. We ate at the one closest to the beach and had the most awesome burgers which had fried plantains on them!

Just a short visit on a self-drive tour of Antigua. We'd been advised by locals to try Half Moon Bay, and we were not disappointed. Wilder than the west coast, bigger waves, and a perfect beach. Antigua has a number of natural wonders, but this is well worth the trip.

We have visited this beach several times and it is one of our favourites on the island. There is a great bar/restaurant serving good reasonably priced food. If you go on a Sunday in high season it is very busy, mid week is best if you like piece and quiet. There is a hotel which was severely damaged during a... More

Beautiful. Great for swimming. We ate at ocean view restaurant. Our server, Peaches, was awesome. Delicious coconut shrimp and fries that we will return for. Loved this beach- our favorite.

My wife and I have been in Antigua for nearly a week and a half. We have visited several of the beaches on the island, and Half Moon Bay is our favorite. We've made two visits and hope to go back for at least one more before we head home. The beauty of this beach is beyond words. We also... More

We actually took a local bus here, it was worth it but it took forever. Beach was a bit crowded when we went, still very nice! IF its not too windy there is some pretty good snorkeling. There s a pleasant hike along the coast.
