Headed to airport and stopped. Well run, free, very helpful, informative staff. Would have liked to stay longer. They gave us binoculars and a list of things to look for. Our granddaughter lived it. Didn't see a gator, but experienced where they live! Be sure...More

A great place to see the healthy Everglades marsh. Lots of wildlife like birds, fish, and alligators. They offer canoe and kayak tours which are fantastic and are led by great guides.

Love this place! There are stops along the boardwalk to sit in an Adirondack chair and meditate/rest/sketch/observe, parts of the boardwalk have no railings, so the leaves, branches, and vines are right next to me, not set apart. Lots of short, medium, and long walks...More

Great place for a nice walk in spring. We walked all the trails and it's very beautiful. They offer canoeing, kayaking, and other activities. It was great to see some florida nature!

This place has been on my radar for awhile. I finally had a day off from school so I headed up to explore the preserve. Grassy Waters is a 23 square mile wetlands ecosystem that used to part of the Everglades. Now it is the...More

At the fringes of the Everglades, you can find this nature walk. The wooden boardwalk trails make it easy with kids or even folks with limited mobility. The nature center was recently having a fabulous exhibition of the "Highwaymen" artists. There are other activities through...More

The boardwalk at this preserve is very nice. Last year we saw some feral pigs, but this year, nothing - not even a single heron! There is an art museum at the end of one of the boardwalk spurs. All in all, an interesting way...More

Hi, I have never seen canoes there. A beautiful walkway on stilts leads all around the place. They don't want the wildlife disturbed.
