Outstanding collection of carriages from all over the world beautifully displayed. Like an excellent classic car museum for conveyances of the pre-automotive era. Lovely grounds and setting. Definitely worth a detour from Orlando for anyone wishing to learn some history and to take a break from Mickey Mouse attractions!

This collection is wonderful, kids will love this. The life size horses hooked up to the numerous carriages are just incredible. The museum is much larger than I expected and houses a stunning collection of carriages. Everything from a Gypsy Wagon to the first Fire fighting Carriages. The opulence of some of the carriages give you a peek at a... More

Great carriage museum. Worth the time to visit. Off the beaten track but easy to find. A bonus to RV campers as they do have a nice camping area.

Our car club recently did a special monthly event at the Grand Oaks Carriage Museum. The resort served a buffet breakfast before we toured the museum. There are over 130 carriages that date back to the mid 19th century as well as an elegant carriage that once transported Franz Joseph of Austria. Additionally there are a few antique autos. This... This museum is located on beautiful grounds. Entrance to the museum is a bit pricey at $15pp with no discounts (except for children) but it is probably the only museum of its kind. There are probably over 150 carriages both European and American. The show piece is the restored 1850 Armbruster Dress Carriage once owned by Emperor Frank Joseph of... More

This is a lovely place to stroll around, lots of "horse activity" to see, a nice restaurant. The museum was the jewel for me however. Many beautifully restored carriages, buggies, etc. lots of histories well documented. Unique and extensive

This is a beautiful exhibit. It clearly portrays history, the elegance and functionality of carriages, and is laid out in a nice setting.

We only went for drinks one afternoon but the place was so beautiful that we came back the following evening to enjoy the live entertainment. Such a great atmosphere. Steve the bartender was generous with the drinks. As well, they have specials. People that came for a meal seem to really enjoy themselves. Most stayed for the entertainment.

Frankly I did not know what to make of this before we visited, but I am very glad we went. This is a fascinating museum and Mary who we met working there made it even better. She is very knowledgeable about the carriages and answered all our questions. Be sure to give this at least 1 & 1/2 hours to... More
