The Botanical garden has a Lego event going on at this time and there were a number of families with children enjoying the gardens. The hurricane caused a couple closures of paths, but it is a nice spot to visit with some interesting history.

McKee is a wonderful botanic garden and I have reviewed it in the past. I'd also had lunch at their cafe several years ago and enjoyed the food as well as sitting outside to enjoy it. Well, not so much this time. My guess is they have a different vendor now running it -- PATISSERIE. I note they have another... More

Enjoyed a lovely walk through the garden. You can see everything in about an hour but can spend as much time as you want. There are many benches to rest along the way. Many unusual plants that are native to areas (Cuba and Honduras) that you would have to travel a distance to see otherwise. The bamboo is super tall.... More

Beautiful even after hurricane Matthew. Peaceful, lots of history, makes you smile! The place is amazing and should be on the national registry.

A must-see place to visit. The variety of palm trees is amazing and the bamboo is fantastic. Wander the paths and take in all the beautiful flowers that are planted. Enjoy the peace and tranquility. Great little gift shop also. We have gotten something there everytime we've gone.

Great variety of Botanical gardens including some really nice ponds with huge water lilies. The Christmas season light display is really impressive.

I really enjoyed the leisure stroll through the gardens boasting cypress, banyan trees as well as subtropical plantings. This garden is on the National Register of Historic Places and the buildings have been restored. Formal or informal gatherings can be held on these beautiful grounds. Restrooms onsite. We were fortunate to see the Stickwork of Patrick Dougherty during our visit.... More
