Unfortunately the trail 3/4 of the way to the observation tower was so muddy I didn't dare cross it with just hiking boots on. Otherwise it was quiet and remote with some nice birds, beautiful berry plants and a gopher tortoise which was new for me. Wear bug repellent!!!!

I went with my brother and his wife to check it out for the first time. We went around 9am. We made it back about a mile in. The trail became so washed out that we couldn't make it all the way to the observation tower. The trails were very cool and it was fun to be part of nature.... More

While it is a shady walk; it turns into a mud bog, eventually, then you can come out on the larger paths. It's just getting there that's the problem.

This is a really cool spot to go walking and enjoy some nature. It is easy to get lost in the trail, so bring a buddy or follow the signs! I brought my dog and he loved it.

every Trail has its way, even on Wet days. Great experience for nature enthusiasts. Florida Pine, scrub, palms, live oaks, mangroves, all the Florida classics. Make sure trails are dry or bring some rubber boots for sure.

If you want to experience this tropical conservation area in January bring waterproof boots. We were unable to go to the observation tower as the water on the trail was about 4" deep in places. Still, the parts we saw were lovely.

Headed here in November, was a not so hot day, so I thought I would be able to get a fun hike in. The setting is very drab and I have to admit it felt a little creepy walking through this area. There were several patches of really heavy mud areas but what was most disappointing was the fact that... More

I am new to the area and stopped by some local nature sights but this place was flooded. I havent noticed it raining too much lately so I am not sure if that is a fluke and I just went on a bad day or if it is always this way. I guess there is an observation tower a half... More

The walking trail is very nice. The atmosphere is very calming. The look-out bridge at the end of the trail is well worth the walk.

A lovely view of nature is here. You cannot see the rest of VEro from here and kind of immerse yourselves in nature. Great for an escape for reality and time to relax and take that deep breadth. Very informal and just a good spot to go.
