The trails here are very scenic and quiet, and you can stay as long as you wish. Palm forest alternates with palmetto scrub, and there is a boardwalk and observation area elevated above the lagoon which provides expansive views. This place is an excellent way...More

I walked the trails for the first time today and was pleased and surprised by the variations along the way. It was in the early afternoon so the wildlife was sparse but the variety of vegetation was enough to hold my interest. The Overlook is...More

Just noticed a birding sign while driving around, and checked it out. It is about a one mile walk to the observation . You will pass through old growth forest (great relief from the heat), and mangrove swamps. Great scenery even before you get to...More

Unfortunately the trail 3/4 of the way to the observation tower was so muddy I didn't dare cross it with just hiking boots on. Otherwise it was quiet and remote with some nice birds, beautiful berry plants and a gopher tortoise which was new for...More

This is a really cool spot to go walking and enjoy some nature. It is easy to get lost in the trail, so bring a buddy or follow the signs! I brought my dog and he loved it.
