We opened in August 1986. Voted Best Bicycle shop in Venice year after year by the Venice Gondolier Sun and Herald Tribune due to our low pricing and exemplary customer service. Bicycles International carries the following brands exclusively in Venice; Trek, Cannondale, Raleigh, Electra, Schwinn, GT, Diamondback, just to name a few. We offer bike rentals for the day, week and month.

Last season we bought a new bike. The salesperson was patient and most helpful. My wife came away with a well fitted Canonndale bike well suited to the style of riding we do, including the Venetian Waterway Park, the Legacy Trail, the Shark Valley and other Florida trails.
In March we rented when we had houseguests. The convenience and service were everything we expected.
Recently we needed new tubes for another bike. They had those and some other accessories we wanted, and provided very helpful advice.
It’s great to have such a wonderful bike shop in the neighborhood!

brought my sons back wheel in for a new sprocket they wanted to make sure it would fit corectly so i brought the rest of the bike in, he made sure it fit and it did so i asked him if i needed to tighten it and he said you know let me just do it realy quick for you no charge.. extreamly friendly and just an over all good way to do business. I see No need to go anywhere else if i have another bike problem ..

Wes at International Bicycle Shop in Venice special ordered a Domane+ for me in mid-July. When Trent assembled the new bike he noticed a couple of things he wasn't satisfied with for my riding enjoyment. He contacted Trek and Fazua and got everything worked out! The bike is perfect for me! I truly appreciate the extra time Trent, Tim, Wes and everyone else at International did to make my new ride perfect!
Since we moved to Florida I've been taking my, now, old Trek bike to International for service. They've always done a great job and been very thorough. I've recommended International Bicycle to others, it's a great bike shop!

Buyer beware. This is an unethical organization with bad business practices.
Went in to get an upgraded saddle and grips on a FX2 I purchased a year ago from this store. Went with the recommendation from the manager, John. The seat and grips were far less expensive on-line, but I wanted a recommendation. The manager, John, told me I would have to replace my handlebar mounted mirror due to the grip I was buying. I spent $173 for a saddle, grips, and mirror, very pricey.
When I installed the grips it turned out I did not need a new mirror. The original mirror worked perfectly. In fact, the new mirror was not compatible with the handle bars on the bike or grips I purchased. The manager mislead me about the need for a $26 new mirror.
The bottom of the receipt states “All sales final” as do some signage at the counter which I didn’t take note of when making the purchase.
Decided to take the mirror back because it was purchased when the managed said it was required for the grips. The sales person in the store and the manager (same one who sold me the mirror) refused to take the mirror back citing their no returns policy. It did not matter to the manager that he had in fact told me something that wasn’t true, mislead lead me into purchasing the mirror. They offered store credit, their policy being once they have your money it’s theirs. There was nothing I needed or wanted from the store, and I refused the store credit.
To make the experience even worse, the manager behaved as if he was being wonderful and reasonable. His attitude infuriated me so much I did something I seldom do…said a couple of choice words. Then left the store.
So, in total I’ve spent ~$1200 in that store in a little over a year. And they couldn’t see their way to refund me $26 ( 2%) for an item that was purchased based on bad advise from their manager.
Buyer beware, if they make a mistake it will cost you money, not them.

I brought my bike into see Steve, the service manager as my Cervelo wasn’t shifting right and I am headed for .Ironman Texas. He not only got it “race ready” , he got it done in 2 days vs the 5 I thought. I had previously taken it to another bike shop ( who will go unmentioned, so when I went there, I was not a regular, but was treated like a long term customer. I’ll be back for sure!

Came in last minute on a Sunday with a flat tire. They took my bike in immediately and had me back on the road in minutes. Saved a great day of riding with my friends and family. Definitely a life saver!

I stopped here on impulse because I was hoping to rent an adult trike…the staff was helpful and could arrange a rental but the cost was more than I anticipated and there were charges for delivery and pickup….so I continued on and rented from another dealer! This was an impressive store with many options for bike riders! I feel sure they are trustworthy and will find you what you need!

I have had to repair my many bikes, many times. I have found that Bikes International is a reputable and knowledgeable place for repairs. I value them greatly and am appreciative of the work their mechanics/ particularly Steve do. He is the best around.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff gave us a couple good bikes for a day rental and got us onto the VWP trail in Venice. This leads right into the Legacy trail.

I have been a customer of Bicycles International (BI) since 2002 when I bought a used Schwinn bicycle. Since that time, I had 3 tires replaced (as well as minor service done to the bicycle). So far so good. Last week, I had a flat and I got a new tire as well as a tube (premium - thicker). Today, I was stranded after my golf game (I ride my bike to the course) as I had a flat on this new tire I purchased last week. I tried to inflate the tire using the golf club's compressor but I could sense there was a leak near the valve stem. I took the bike back to BI and was told the leak occurred because the tire had lost air and I had rode on it. They said that I had to check the tire pressure every couple of days. First of all, the tire rode normally in the morning and might have lost a pound or two but not enough to cause this problem in my mind. I pointed out to them that I had been riding a bicycle all my life (I'm over 70) and I never had to reflate tires more often than every 3-4 weeks. I also never had this problem EVER in the past.
Anyway, I got stuck with a charge of $22 and change - not a huge amount but do I feel I was ripped off? Yes I do. Will I go back in the future - don't bet on it.
