Great herons, egrets, cormorants and other nesting birds on a small tree filled island in a pond. Come during the nesting season and see many bird families on this rookery.

The locals call this the rookery. There is a small tree filled island located in a pond, and it is filled with migrating birds of all kinds. Listening to the birds and their chicks is quite the sound. In the evening, they find a perch...More

The place is small. It is all about a man made lake with a little island that they call the "rookery" , that seems to be a favoured place for "mating". Great for photographers.

Frankly, it sounded like such a yawn. Lots of birds flying back to this tiny island in a slightly larger pond at sunset. But, we decided to take it in with some friends who were visiting. And our eyes were opened. Of all the things...More

There are shelters set up and benches for the bird watchers to observe nesting water birds on the island rookery. Plenty of parking is available and many bring telescopes to observe the Ospreys, spoonbills, herons, egrets, and other water centric species. A great place to...More

Small but amazing area of nesting birds just feet off-shore in the lake. It's an easy walk around this small lake and an amazing view of the nesting birds.

There is a pond in this small park which you can walk all the way around. There is also a covered pavilion. Bring your binoculars and cameras. The abundance of birds is stunning. Check out the back yards on the far side of the pond....More

Went to the rookery last evening. Nestlings, especially herons are near adult size. Ibis are more like babies. I can't say what it would be like by April.Nevertheless, I can say that the rookery will be a great place for... More

We are renters ourselves, so we do not have anything available. I would suggest trying some of the real estate companies in Venice.
