I took my dog to the dog park twice. He is a Bichon who weighs fifteen pounds. There are two sections, one for large dogs and the other for small dogs. The larg dogs seemed unruly, the owners took them off the leash and let them plat. I saw dog fights each time. The section for small dogs was much... More

In reading other reviews, it appears as though some visitors have confused the Woodmere Dog Park with Brohard Dog Beach. Woodmere does not have any access to the beach; the beach is a few miles away from this park. Woodmere Dog Park has a smaller enclosed area for smaller dogs although sometimes owners don't use it instead letting their dogs... More

Our sheltie loved "herding" the waves at the beach today! Nice day at the beach with fellow dog lovers! Bring a chair and watch the "kids" play with a view of the pier. NIce to have the hose by the parking lot to wash the sand off the dog.

Nice place to bring your on a hot day. Plenty of room for the dogs to wander and play with others. Everyone we have met on various visits have been very friendly. The Trees in the park give lots of shade and protection from light showers.

Great place and lots Of trees to stay cool. I have never been there when it is very crowded. Of course I prefer the dog beach but my dog doesn't. And like I said it stays remarkably cool

When I die and come back as a dog, this is the park I want to visit! Simply the best--space, well fenced in areas, parking, security for all sized pups, surroundings....did I mention that it includes a beach? How many dog parks can boast that! Well done City of Venice....shows again why this City is one of our Country's best....great... More

Woodmere Paw Park is located inside the larger Woodmere park which has a pond, a children's playground, a series of trails and small and large dog leash-free dog parks. This is a very nice park for a number of reasons: abundant shade, convenient water stations, convenient disposal bags and containers, lots of tennis balls to use and many clean and... More

The park has a large and small dog area. The large area is great. Lots of trees and ample room to run for dogs of all sizes, as you'll see in the picture. Water bowls and at least one baby pool in each area are the norm, but when I visited on Saturday, I discovered all had been removed. Not... More
