The Venice Pier is lovely ... best description. It doesn’t have a lot of shops or attractions clogging it up, it’s just a fishing pier ... a VERY NICE fishing pier .... with great space to watch others fish or ... do some fishing yourself....More

You can access the pier without going through Sharky's, the restaurant at its base. The pier goes surprisingly far out over the ocean from the beach in the south side of the island. The views are beautiful year round, and it is a local landmark.

You are able to rent gear on the pier but depending on how much fishing/how many days/people you may want to bring your own. I also felt like bait prices were a bit high.
