Spent a weekend in Venice and Caspersen was certainly a stop to relax, walk the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunny day! Everyone's friendly including those that had a rod and reel in the water hoping for a good catch off the small bridge overpass.

This beach is a little rockier than Venice Beach but still offers good sharks teeth hunting and the boardwalk is nice for strolling while still watching the ocean.

We came to Venice while in Sarasota and did some diving. Since it had been some time since we were in the water we got some tanks at the shop and dove Caspersen beach. If you are lucky, you can park close to the boardwalk...More

Caspersen is a state park and has no hotels or any type of buildings. It is a long stretch of beautiful clean sand that is frequented by families for the beach, clear water, and sharks teeth. The only thing to know is the very southern...More

Drove here early morning to look for shark teeth, only found a few, though, admittedly we were unequipped and didn't know what we were doing. Definitely recommend coming during low tide. Lots of big rocks and shells, wear some water shoes!

We came here looking for sharks teeth. We did find a few but not near as many as Manasota Key beach down the shore. There is the fishing pier, free parking and you can rent a shell scooper for $7 at the store. We sifted...More

This was supposed to be the place to go to find shark teeth. We found a couple but have seen more at other beaches near venice. Not sure if the hurricane this fall burried them or took them out to sea but just expected to...More

I bring my own snorkel gear. If you are going for just shark teeth though, no snorkel gear is needed. There are plenty of shops nearby to pick some gear up; unsure about rental.

No, there is not. I can see people fishing there though.
