This canoe and kayak rental company has staked out the best spot on the Hillsborough River. The alligators are bigger and the variety of birds are greater than in other locations on the river. This area also doesn't get clogged with water hyacinth, so it...More

This is a fabulous self-guided river trip where you see lots of wildlife. The paddling was not hard at all. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The Hillsboro river and wildlife area are amazing to see.

Several times we made this canoe tour on Hillsborough river close to Tampa - this is the most exciting canoe tour I ever made. You are floating with the canoe on the river - without stress, time enough to make pictures of hundreds of birds...More

This was a great lazy river-type canoeing with plenty of wildlife including birds, turtles, and alligators. I was nervous to encounter alligators but they were too busy sunbathing to worry about us. Hunter who picked us up at the end was very knowledgeable of the...More

Is trip 2 the part with the most narrow parts AND with the most gators? We want to do trip 4 (part 1 and 2), but am a little worried about about narrow turns causing us to accidentally closer to a gator than we want to be. How much of a concern is this? I would not have a good time if I am forced to be close to a gator that is on land or close to a gator in very shallow water. I don't mind them on the banks at a distance or if they are in the water.

I don't know what trip number we did but we put into the river right at the boat ramp near the company's trailer. The water was fairly low that day but we had no problems maneuvering around gators. Whenever we got too close... More
