Took a small child, and we walked the area, and she played on the playground. Easy to park, lots to see, and we ate our picnic lunch there. The boardwalks are nice to walk or run (kids) on. Even if it were crowded, there's lots of space for peace and a quiet time with nature.

We went today for our photos for a Christmas card as suggested by the photographer. I can't wait to go back!! Very pretty place with boardwalk for nature and a playground for the kids too. Lots of open space, so even on a crowded day you can find peace and quiet!!!

I go to this park for the walking trails. If you want to walk on paved or off road they were very well kept.

If you take your time to have a good look around you can see a lot of animals from the boardwalk. We have seen several beautiful kinds of birds, alligators, several kinds of turtles, a snake and load of squirrels.

Beautiful, clean park with a great paved walking trail, as well as a long boardwalk where we were able to see some small alligators, frogs and turtles. We spent about 2 hours there and could have stayed longer.

Walk on a beautiful boardwalk and through Cypress Trees and palms. We saw alligators and water moccasins. Enjoy other native plants including oak trees. Wonderful to spend a couple of hours and re-live what Florida was like 100 years ago.

Take a picnic and a frisbee, the kids and your dog. Everyone will enjoy a walk along the boardwalk, playing on the playground, and relaxing in the yard.

Just $2 gets you into this lovely natural park, with animals, birds etc in abundance. There are shelter type cabins that you can hire and take a picnic etc and, should you need to leave the park, just keep your ticket and return later the same day. Had great fun on the boardwalks spotting 'Gators

This is a wonderful, woodsy park to enjoy. There are canoe rentals, playgrounds, and trails. Covered pavillions are available to rent for parties and events.

We love, love, love coming here. The boardwalk along the river is fantastic. Early spring and late fall are the best "weather" times to come here. It's just way too hot in the summer. We usually see 5-6 alligators, a couple of snakes and plenty of birds. It's the greatest place to just clear your head for a while. Wonderful... More
