Cigar City Brewing came in 3rd place in the “Top 10 Breweries 2016” category in the 2016 United States Open Beer Championship in which nearly 4,000 beers were entered from around the globe. Up from the #5 position in the 2015 Championship. The first commercial batches of Cigar City beer were released into the Tampa Bay marketplace in March 2009. The total year-end production was around 1,000 barrels of beer in 2009 -- 2016 projections are thought to be in excess of 65,000 barrels. Since it’s founding, Cigar City Brewing has been dedicated to creating beers we like to drink and toasting those who choose to drink with us.

We went on the tour which was very informational. There happen to be a dog event going on at the same time along with the Bacon Boss food truck. Lots goin on for sure...worth the trip.

Nice tasting room with large selection of beer. A lot of the beer is not available anywhere else. the Maduro on cask hand pump was excellent.

yes, definitely family friendly. Its a big place with lots of room; we had so much fun, almost forgot the kids were with us. :-)
