Great place to take your boat and go fishing or just cruising around. It is quiet and take a picnic lunch or grab one of the restaurants off of the water. Peaceful and relaxation and seeing Tampa Bay.

It's always terrific to get out in nature. All kinds of birds, turtles, insects and even some gators. Definitely worth exploring.

There are no boat rentals on the river. You can rent a canoe at the Hillsborough State Park. The most fun would be a canoe or kayak trip from the park down to USF.

Hi, dogs are allowed on a lease. There are several camp sites. I would recommend spring or fall. Summers are crowded and very humid and hot. Lots of insects. Winter is good too but it can get cold.
