Beautiful Family Day

Great place to take the kids, and go fishing, take pictures, and just enjoy nature. They also have fun events throughout the season that is wonderful for families.

This park is gorgeous with lots of flowers and little pathways to follow! There's a fountain and a separate little pool and it's all so beautiful! Perfect place to spend the afternoon with your sweetheart <3

This garden and house are easy to walk around and have a nice variety of scenery. There is a water front, multiple types of gardens and a large home to view. We were lucky the azaleas were blooming early creating bursts of color in many locations. It's easy to negotiate terrain and not so big you feel overwhelmed. The house... More

You really must visit these beautiful gardens! My sister and I could have spent the day strolling the paths of flowering trees!

Gardens and house very nice. Volunteer at house to answer questions and give a brief history. Azaleas were blooming as well as Camille, which were a bit past their prime. Many winding paths and great picture spots. Beautiful lake view and Don't miss the pond

This was a lovely little garden area with some walking trails and beautiful flowers. Was surprised that so many flowers were in bloom in February. For how small the gardens are I was surprised to pay a $6 fee for about an hour there.

The gardens at Maclay State Park are so beautiful. I have visited often over my lifetime. As a child enjoyed swimming in Lake Hall. Our folks would take visiting family there. I recall picnics, grilling out maybe even an Easter egg hunt or two! As I grew I had the rare opportunity to canoe and even water ski but that... More

We were staying near the university, researched this state park, it decided to give it a go. Delighted that we did! It was a very pleasant few hours. The hiking trails are advisable. We went for about a 3 mile hike and enjoyed it thoroughly. They seem to offer multiple options in terms of hiking trails. There was at least... More

I was lucky enough to visit the park when the trees were in bloom and they were gorgeous! You are allowed to wander around the park, viewing the gardens, the pond, a reflection pool, and there's even a secret garden! A staff member happened to tell me the history of the brick walkway and it's too bad that information isn't... More
