The museum is quite small, located in an old bank building near the Tallahassee Capitol. You will be amazed at their collection-- perhaps one of the most unique and best in the nation.

when we got there on Friday 10am we found a typed paper taped to the glass that stated limited summer hours Wed- Fri 9 am -2 pm. The door was locked and nobody was there.

We try to annually visit this museum and attend the events held during the Emancipation week. We travel in from CT and always enjoy the programs offered at this museum.

So much information and detail. A great record of history in the South. Some of the displays were shocking but all were accurate.
