My friend and I went here and the trail is beautiful. We love nature and all the different trees than we have here in Illinois.

shady, well marked and wide paths! This is my new favorite place to exercise! Parking at Forrest Meadow park is convenient and there is a crosswalk to get to the trailhead across Meridian Rd. Don't forget the $2 entrance fee.

Plenty of miles of trail riding here. The singletrack is challenging but not too technical with plenty of root features to ride over. The northern connector trail provides the biggest challenge in the first mile or so, in my opinion. Take to the wider multi-use...More

Excellent trail in a wooded area (shade!) that leads to Lake Overstreet. Ample parking. Lots of nature to observe -- birds, insects, trees, flowers. Wonderful hike in a lovely park. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to inclement weather. We will return! Entry fee...More

We did the long trail (5 miles) on a very hot day. The shade made the walk very tolerable. The trail was in good condition and provided some challenges with hills. There are a couple of beautiful lookout spots to observe the lake.

I went on this trail one weekend before summer with my brother and dog. I am not a hiker yet this trail was doable and beautiful. I had a great time. I would not recommend doing this trail during the summer month but in late...More
