Biking the St. Marks Trail is always a good thing, whether it's just riding the first few miles or taking it all the way to the end. It can be a little busy on the weekends, particularly near the Tallahassee trail head. But if you persist, the crowds fade away wilderness intrudes the further you ride. The trail is flat... More

This is a beautiful shaded trail that runs from Capital Circle and Woodville Highway, all the way down to St. Marks (18 miles I think). It is mostly shaded which is wonderful during the summer. It is very wide for easy passing of walkers, runners or slower bikes. There are a few water fountains and restrooms along the way. One... More

Enjoyed the trail a couple of times with my daughter, and found the trails easy on the bike, and informative.

We love biking the St. Marks Trail. We prefer to trailer our bicycles down to the end of the trail near the restaurants/bars. Then we spend the morning biking up towards Tallahasee and return in time for lunch al fresco waterside. Great local seafood at the Tiki Bar.

We enjoyed riding our bikes from the park at Wakulla Station about 6 miles south to St. Marks. It was nice to have a break, eat lunch at a local restaurant on the River and return.

This is a lovely trail, shaded in spots, with several drinking fountains along the way, it's about 16 miles down to the coast, so make sure you've got enough energy to bike back! All cement, it's a pleasant ride (we saw rollerbladers too), and feels safe even though you're riding through some wooded areas.

Mostly use for bike riding and usually don't have any problems. Occasionally have inexperienced/rude bike riders who don't know to warn when approaching from the rear. Large groups should ride single file when passing or when others are trying to pass. Trail is well maintained but could use reminders of bike/trail etiquette.

Loved our ride down the Trail. Very quiet, shady, and well maintained. The very wide path provides plenty of room for both bikes and pedestrians.

The St. Marks was one of our first bike trails, and remains among the best. Running from the quaint town of St. Marks into the heart of Tallahassee, it offers cyclists a fine ride. I see there are problems with trail rules and rude bicyclists here, but that is becoming common on the more frequently ridden trails. I was hit... More

I love the st marks trail. it is good for bike riding, running, walking, or just looking at nature. there are several dirt trails that fork off the paved trail you can use to hike or take in some more wildlife.
