American Shoal Lighthouse is built on a scaffol you can see right through it. Its on a tranquil bay near the Sugarloaf Lodge.

A destination but that's it. About 3-4 miles out, some fishing and some scuba. The seas were a little rough, so the run out was good for the boat. My suggestion would be to Go on a calmer day.

Went on a charter and fished for a half day near here. We did well and had supper that evening @ The WARF with our catch.

It was a very nice boat ride over to the lighthouse. We went snorkeling and saw a lot of fish and sea life. I can recommend the lighthouse!
