I have just returned from a one week visit to Florida and the Juniper Springs Canoe Run was high on my to do list. Was not disappointed. Arrived at the completely empty recreation area early (8 am) in fog and rain and the weather wasn't...More

The natural beauty of Juniper Springs is undeniable but the management of the canoe/kayak rental facility Recreation Resource Management is poor, even negligent and certainly not knowledgeable. Although there were at least twenty other canoes, we were rented a dented and leaky one. When compared...More

We went canoeing there. It is all self-serve. We had to load the canoe on a cart and wheel it some distance to the water. Next we had to go back and get the paddles and life jackets. Then our containers for food and drinks...More

Beautiful place to spend a full day with your friends and family. It's nice that the swimming area is separated from the alligator area so there aren't any "surprises". The water is beautiful but even at the end of the summer, it's COLD. You do...More

I went to Ocala for a day to the springs with my 1 year old. We went to another spring before this (called silver glen just down the road ) and we liked the feel of this one better, although it’s not shallow for a...More

We enjoyed the beautiful spring here best of the 3 we visited in the Ocala National Forrest. It was not overly crowded, was well maintained, clean bathrooms and showers. It is not large and gets deep as soon as you step off the platform. There...More

Crystal clear water; great and so refreshing to swim and float in the sun! Facilities we're clean and had a great recreational area for picnic lunch. (Plenty of shade available as well)

By far, this is the most quaint spring I've been. Best time to go is summer time, water is very cold! Will be planning to go back there again and again.

Its a real shame that the waterway is littered with so many obstacles that cause havoc to canoes. Too many overhanging branches/brush, not to mention the downed trees in the paths. This should be cleaned up by removing dead trees/brush/limbs. An enjoyable thing should not...More

I've been there as early as 9 and had a small line, but if it rains early and you get there around 1 I've had no line and good parking. Good luck!!

I can not say for sure however, I will say there was a RV there with it's generator running and two living and horse trailers that had their generator's running for both evenings that we were there.
