Theories itself is well maintained and safe, but nothing special. However, it offers quick and easy access to the Silver and Ocklawaha rivers. There are two ramps for boats on trailers and a separate kayak launch area.
Great kayak launch site. Kayak drop in right at parking lot. Bathrooms available. A 5 mile upstream paddle to silver springs. Fair amount of current. Beautiful along river. No houses. Saw monkeys at about half way to springs. Honor system to pay to launch.
Easy access park and boat launch area. Have picnic tables, restrooms and playground. Plenty of parking. In the winter can see manatees. Man made canal to get you to or from the rivers. This is the stopping place for the Silver Springs Kayaking company. Coming...More
This is a boat launch for the Silver River and Ocklawaha. It's steep but even with the water level being so low, we didn't have much trouble getting in or out. There are two bathrooms. One near the boat launch, and a slightly larger one...More
Ray Wayside Park, a county facility, offers picnic areas, restroom facilities, several ramps for power boats and an excellent ramp for launching paddle craft. Ample parking is provided. Access is from FL40 south of Silver Springs. Launch fee is $5, payable at the entry gate....More
