I guess as a child, things look bigger. I remember this place seemed huge to me, but it had Tom's Deer Ranch and Ross Allen Reptile Institute. Without all that cool stuff, the boats and gardens just seem tame.

Such a lovely park, with the glass bottom boat trip with guide, showing the fresh water springs........a must if you want to see some nature, fish, birds, rat snake and even an alligator.

The Park offers a lot outdoor activities, and ride in boat by river, it's really nice. These Park has the amazing centennial trees.

This is a hidden gem here in Ocala , FL . Not that expensive to visit , also you have to see the clear bottom boat they have that goes down the river. Awesome place for the family

93 bucks for 7 of us boat ride was nice but it was super hot and they packed us in. The springs are gorgeous though and I would like to go back. Kinda like stepping back in time. Teenagers enjoyed themselves. For awhile at least!

Pretty sure you can't. The ecosystem is fragile and more suited for paddle craft. The exception might be a battery-powered kayak or other boat, but you'll have to check with the park people on this. My guess is no powered... More

From silversprings frequently-asked-questions Can I bring my own kayak to Silver Springs? Yes, you are welcome to bring your own kayak to Silver Springs. The launch fee is $4.
