We spent the most pleasant day exploring the Silver Springs State Park. The January weather was blissful and the abundance of birds and reptiles - not to mention the Manatees - was very rewarding. I highly recommend this park to any border or wildlife enthusiast.

Part of our honeymoon usa trip through florida/georgia. No monkeys out when we visited. Glad we stopped in, beautiful place and the boat ride was super stunning. Friendly staff too :)

Wish we had managed to catch the 90 minute boat trip but it had just left when we arrived, the shorter trip was interesting all the same and very relaxing on a hot day. Gorgeous walks are available plus fabulous lunches back at the visitors...More

My husband, my aunt and I went to Silver Springs State Park. We hiked a bit, and took the 1/2 hour glass-bottom boat ride. Next time we definitely want to take the 90-minute ride. The water is crystal clear, and it's amazing to see the...More

The glass bottom boat tours are worth the money at $11/pp. We opted for the 30 minute glass bottom boat tour since the kids (12 & 15) were with us. The kids loved this tour! There are 3 or 4 boats available so the wait...More

This was our first time kayaking on the Silver Springs River. It had been recommended to us by several people so we started our trip here. It didn't disappoint. There were many different wild flowers along the river, many types of wading birds (egrets, herons,...More

We decided to spend our Christmas family time at Silver Springs. We reserved 4 single kayaks on silversprings.com. Our one hour timeslot was 11-12 and there weren't too many people kayaking at that time. The ride was wonderful, beautiful, crystal clear water and fish with...More

If you see a gator you move away from it. They are not normally aggressive, don't feed, touch or mess with them in any way. Always stay aware of your environment. I watch closely for snakes myself, but usually only when in... More

No. I believe there are no swimming signs and alligator warning signs. You can kayak/canoe though.

Yes, everything is a separate fee now. If you're staying in the campground you don't have to pay the kayak/canoe launch fee. If you go early or late you can see into the water quite well.
