Unfortunately, the day we visited was a little cool for swimming, so i just rested on the beach. There were a couple in our group that still played in the water. The white sand is very soft. There are lifeguards. There's a snack shack and restrooms. There are also volleyball nets and playground equipment. You can also park for free.... More

I normally hate the beach! BUT I Loved the powder white sand!!! and the clear water. We stayed further up North of the public area and it was heaven!

We were here with friends in late November. Weather was GREAT! White powder sand, amazing view, water was cool, but not too bad. Stayed in beach gear on the sand for several hours just relaxing, watching the ocean and sunset.

I didn't know we had beaches this nice in the states. I have been to many many beaches in the Cariibean and sand wise this is one of the best. It is like Baby powder. and the beach goes on for ever. It must be close to half mile from the beginning of the beach to the water

With my family born and raised here his beach is always home and quite a home it is with its white sand and immense shoreline-simply amazing. More people traffic for the thanksgiving holiday but worth it. Minimally culturally diverse - not sure if that is good or bad. Extremely family oriented and best of all the scenery is unbeatable

Live on the east coast so never spent a lot of time on gulf side of Florida. Very impressed with powdered sandy beach, lots of small shells and of course no waves.

Siesta Key absolutely lives up to its reputation as having the best beach in the country. The water is beautiful and crystal clear, and the sand is white powder. I love the small village feel and all the local establishments. Not one chain restaurant on the island that I saw. I really look forward to a return visit, as soon... More

This is by far my favorite beach in all of Florida. The area is walkable from almost anywhere, the sand is pristine, and the beach is not crowded, at least where we were located. The water is crystal clear. We stayed in November and the water was certainly colder than we expected being in Florida but overall, absolutely magical place.... More

Spectacular sand of the white talcum variety lines most of this long, flat beach at high tide, and at lower tide, it's an even more wonderful walking beach. We're spoiled by Hawaii and Cape Cod where big hotels are less prominent, but otherwise this is, indeed, a rare treat on the Florida coast.
