Absolutely spectacular beach, there is a reason it has been rated #1 in the USA. Nice very wide beach area, playground, restrooms, volleyball, cafe. Traffic gets tough on the weekends.

There's a reason why they say best beach in US. Wide and white. Nice walking beach and sunbathing. Lots of people but never get that crowded feeling where we were. Not sure what the public beach is like - we stayed south of that.

My husband and I spent a morning and early afternoon walking along siesta key beach back in December. It was a lovely day. The beach was not too crowded in the morning so we were able to find a space in the parking lot to park and we enjoyed our walk. The sand is cool and powdery. Some of the... More

White sand that's like baby powder on your feet. Great access points with free parking along the entire beach. Gets crowded early but by late afternoon it's not difficult to get a spot. Outdoor showers to wash off with.

Siesta Key public beach is a gorgeous beach with soft white sand- just like flour. We went in February and spent all five days on the beach. The beach pavilion offers a couple of outdoor showers for rinsing off. Clean bathrooms, a concessions stand with food like pizza, chili dogs, beer, wine, and frozen daiquiris. You can also rent beach... More

Siesta is a great beach. It is wider than any beach I have visited in the United States or in the Caribbean, We found it to be laid back, great for families and couples. We had an opportunity to to see the "drum circle" on Sunday afternoon and that was lot of fun. Looking forward to visiting Siesta Key again... More

Stunning, pure white - silica, not sand, so its cool to touch and walk on. Access is somewhat restricted. Many areas are private from Midnight pass road, down to high tide line - but, the tideline is walkable for entire length of beach ( some 3 miles). Large (busy) carpark at north end "public part" of beach. Well worth a... More

The sand is beautiful.... so clean... feels like corn starch.. water is perfect. Clean bathrooms...but be prepared to walk to get to the beach. The beach is huge and there is a lot of traffic going in and out of town. There may only be one way in or out. Def worth the trip
