My wife and I visited the Mel Fisher Museum because we wanted to learn more about how the treasure coast got its name. He must have been quite a character - and along with Waldo Sexton made two people from the state of Indiana and Purdue University who contributed greatly to the lore of this area of Florida. The video... More

Went there with my children and grandchildren. Everybody had fun. Movie was not big-screen adventure, but interesting and informative. If you are tired of Disney or Universal and are looking for a fun place to see real treasure, or even buy some, this is a great place ! Heft a real heavy gold bar ! Get your picture taken with... Interesting museum, a bit dated however. And a bit too focused on the Incredible Life Experiences of Mel Fisher. Still, it's his place, he can blow his own horn if he wants to. (And his grade school band saxophone IS in one of the display cases!) It does give a pretty good picture of what was happening in the Treasure... More

Small museum with a great deal of information. Nice real replicas on display. Much gold and a sales section with real salvaged gold and silver material.Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Bit pricier for admissions.

If you're into nautical treasures and history, definitely take a stop in. Lots of great exhibits and artifacts. Displayed nicely and staff was friendly. Not a huge place, but definitely lots of information.

We went last summer with a groupon ticket. It was very interesting and we enjoyed looking at all of the treasures and reading about the adventures of finding the treasure and the ships. The museum was a bit old, however I think they have recently done some remodeling. We would recommend it for an easy afternoon, to learn more about our... More

This museum is very interesting. Highlights items that have been salvaged from old spanish wrecks off the fl shore. Never been in a museum where the artifacts are so valuable, yet you can get really close. Watch the movie in the beginning!

It's not big, but it's pretty cool! They have a lot of stuff to check out if you're interested in learning about the old Spanish wrecks, and the treasures that they've found. The video room is a bit warm, so go in shorts and relaxed clothing. However, they have an awesome gift shop with authentic and non-authentic pieces for sale,... More

This place is very cool if you're into treasure, ship wrecks, history. There is a ton of real treasure from many well known wrecks. Gold and silver bars, coins, chains, jewels etc.
